BE A MODEL...
May 13th 2008 23:28
Here’s a little tip if you need to have your hair done…
Be a hair model for the upcoming winter seminars.
Great way to have an expert tinker with your tresses and get freebies (think Thank you gift bags!).
But if you hate the attention (think catwalk stages if you’re lucky, or a dreary seminar room with forty hairdressers checking you out on the big screen), then this isn’t for you.
However, I do remember the best I’ve taken part in. It was 2002 for the then young L’oreal Melbourne Summer Fashion Festival and it was a catwalk collaboration between L’oreal and some budding New Zealand designers held at the relatively new Westin hotel on Collins st.
The focus was punk rock with big teased hair, sooty eyes, skull shirts, baggy pants and Converse stars (before they started becoming cool again)
I was more scared than anything to fall flat on my face because I wasn’t used to flat shoes at that time.
But anyhoo here’s a public model call for Goldwell:
We are holding another model call on Thursday 15th May, between 3:00 – 5:00pm to meet with you, discuss your wants and needs for your hair and time availability. This time will also be a great opportunity to add your details to our recent model files.
The address for our studio is Level 1, 627 Chapel Street, South Yarra 3141. It is close to Toorak Road, next to the Freedom Furniture Store. We are housed inside a Grey building and you will find us on the first floor.
